While, London Mayor’s Police and Crime Plan for London 2022 – 2025 is still in mid-way to effectively yield any conclusive results, yet criminals in London city most daringly continue to commit such gruesome crime
A shocking incident in an attempt to attack a women by a teenager with a 20-inch hatchet knife in the evening today led to panic and fear in the Hounslow neighbourhood in West London.
According to a large gathering gripped with fear, anger and anxiety, a group of teenage boys gate crashed the Convent Way residential high rise after allegedly committing a crime in the vicinity.
The London Metropolitan Police reached the crime spot just in time that led to the arrest of one accused in the matter.
As witnessed, people in the area went helter-skelter to safeguard themselves while the police took all the necessary precautions to carry out law and order protocol prior to arresting the alleged accused.
The peak age to carry a knife in London is 15, says a police officer.
The Office of National Statistics, England and Wales data showed total of 27,093 knife offences committed till March 2021. The figure surged to 45,000 by end of March, 2022.
