Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India cried during an online interaction with healthcare workers on 21 May
People in India are still dying from the ruthless second wave of the Covid-19 catastrophe.
Mourners have not slept for nights and ashes of the dead are still unsettled.
Modi and his ministers on Sunday were on another trip, this time to strategize a plan for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh state legislative assembly elections.
The meeting took place on Sunday in New Delhi.
The Uttar Pradesh State legislative assembly elections are slated to take place in February-March next year.
India has been sinking into an unforgettable tragedy where official number of deaths are believed to be under reported.
So far, more than 3,00,000 people have died in India due to the pandemic.
The Lancet, a weekly peer-reviewed medical journal in its May 8 edition categorically blamed Modi for the Covid-19 massacre in India.
When people were gasping for breath with shortage of oxygen cylinders, Modi was busy campaigning for elections in the West Bengal state. There were more than 50,000 people in the election rally. He said, "Wherever I look, I just see people."
The medical journal also stated, that the ruling government “seemed more intent on removing criticism on Twitter than trying to control the pandemic. “His actions in attempting to stifle criticism and open discussion during the crisis are inexcusable.”
While, the demand and supply mismatch for the Covid-19 vaccine remains high at 6.5:1, the politicos governing the nation wants to continue its fiefdom by indulging in insatiable propaganda.
The medical journal has predicted that, given the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation estimates, India will record one million deaths by first August.
